Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 1, 2010
Houston residential real estate professionals, Yvonna Chavez and Maria Fields have launched Casa Latino North Houston, a real estate firm dedicated to serving multicultural homebuyers and home sellers with concentration on the Hispanic market. The companys offices are located at 505 North Sam Houston Parkway East and officially opened March 1, 2010.
Casa Latino North Houstons mission is to provide exemplary service to Hispanic, multicultural, and underserved homebuyers and sellers with an emphasis on educating and equipping our customers to achieve the dream of home ownership, explained Ms. Chavez. Although we serve everyone regardless of their heritage or ethnicity, Casa Latino is the first national franchise designed to serve the unique needs of the Hispanic and multicultural homebuyer market.
Ms. Fields emphasized that Casa Latino North Houston offers more than just traditional real estate services. Our primary interest is not just to represent our clients in a real estate transaction, she said. Our goal is to become their trusted real estate advisors, always keeping the best interests of each customer as our main objective. We are striving for on-going, long-term relationships.
Both Chavez and Fields are seasoned real estate professionals with extensive experience assisting multicultural customers. Chavez noted that her years as a military wife living in various parts of the United States as well as two foreign countries helped prepare her for her career as a Realtor. The constant process of moving every few years, especially with young children, has helped me appreciate the advantages of home ownership and exposed me to every aspect of residential real estate.
Prior to opening Casa Latino North Houston, Chavez had been a successful Realtor in the Houston market with a background in marketing and advertising sales. She served as 2008 president of NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals) and received the Houston Chapters Presidential Award for her accomplishments. She has also been president of the Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) and was named SMCs Associate of the Year at the associations annual PRISM (Professional Results in Sales & Marketing) Awards ceremony. Additionally, Chavez holds the Texas Affordable Housing Specialist designation from the Texas Association of Realtors and the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification presented by the National Association of Realtors.
My favorite part of real estate is helping buyers and investors find and negotiate the purchase or sale of their new home or properties, Chavez said, and I get immense satisfaction assisting first-time homebuyers.
A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Fields moved to Houston in 1979, earned her real estate license and began her career with Keller Williams in Kingwood. She has extensive experience in investment properties, rehabilitating single-family homes, condominiums, country homes, acreage, waterfront properties and leases
Christine Garza Rayburn of Rayburn and Associates serves as broker for Casa Latino North Houston.
Casa Latino North Houston is one of more than 75 Casa Latino Franchises nationwide with locations in Canada, Puerto Rico and several countries on South and Central America. Casa Latino was created in 2005 based on the premise that Hispanic homebuyers and sellers have unique needs due to cultural differences and lifestyles. While the company serves everyone regardless of heritage, the companys model is designed to provide superior service to a multicultural market. Casa Latino Franchise Corporation is headquartered in Celebration, Florida.
Casa Latino North Houston is a member of the Houston Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the Womens Council of Realtors, and NAHREP, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 16, 2010
CUSTOM HOME magazine, the premier business magazine in the custom home building industry, published by Hanley Wood, LLC, announces the winners of its 2010 design awards program.
The CUSTOM HOME Design Awards honor the finest in custom home design and are recognized as one of the most prestigious awards competitions in the industry. The awards program helps distinguish the best designed and crafted custom work going on across the country.
The 18th annual CUSTOM HOME Design Awards received 321 entries in nine categories. Just 18 projects were singled out for honors. The jury featured four distinguished custom builders and architects, including Christine L. Albertsson, Albertsson Hansen Architecture, Minneapolis; Tom Glass, Glass Construction, Washington, D.C.; Tom Hinerfeld, Hinerfeld-Ward, Los Angeles; and Beth Reader, Reader & Swartz Architects, Winchester, Va. In all, they bestowed nine Merit awards, eight Grand awards, and one Custom Home of the Year award.
The number of entries submitted this year for the CUSTOM HOME Design Awards is some 200 or so off our high-water mark for the construction boom, but, oddly enough, our editors and our judges believe the caliber was just as strong as in the go-go days, said S. Claire Conroy, editorial director of CUSTOM HOME and residential architect. Fewer projects, indeed, yet the survivors were beautifully designed and impeccably executed.
Full coverage of the winning projects appears in the May/June issue of CUSTOM HOME and online at customhomeonline.com.
